Our Story
Distilling in Wales was a lost art. In the late 1990s, in a Hirwaun pub in the Welsh valleys, a group of friends dreamed of establishing the first whisky distillery in Wales in over a century: a whisky as pure and precious as Welsh gold.
What began as a curiosity has, in the years since, become one of the most acclaimed spirits in the world.

The Original Distillery
Set in the foothills of Bannau Brycheiniog, where the first drop of Penderyn ran from the Faraday still on the 14th of September 2000.
