These terms cover your use of penderyn.wales, purchases from our online shop at shop.penderyn.wales, and tour and masterclass bookings made through our booking system. By using the site, placing an order or making a booking you accept them. Please read them before you buy.

You must be of legal drinking age in your country of residence to use this site and to buy alcohol from us, and 18 or over to buy in the UK. By ordering you confirm this. Deliveries of alcohol require the signature of a person aged 18 or over; the carrier may ask for ID and will not leave alcohol with anyone under 18. Under-18s may attend distillery tours only when accompanied by an adult and will not be offered samples.
The content of this site, including text, images, logos and the Penderyn, Brecon, Merlyn and Siddiqui names, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for personal use but may not copy, distribute or reuse content without our written permission. You must not use the site unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or introduce harmful code.
We try to keep the site accurate and available but do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Orders. When you place an order you make an offer to buy. We accept it when we send your dispatch confirmation. We may decline an order, for example if a product is unavailable, a price was shown incorrectly, we cannot verify your age, or delivery to your address is not possible. If we decline an order you have paid for, we refund you in full.
Prices. Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT and duty. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you confirm your order. If a price is obviously wrong we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel.
Payment. Payment is taken at checkout by Shopify Payments (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay). We never see or store your card details. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.
Personal use. Products bought through the shop are for personal use and not for resale.
Availability. Limited editions and single casks are sold in small quantities and may sell out; we cannot guarantee availability of any product.
Changing your mind. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel an order for goods up to 14 days after you receive it, for any reason, by emailing [email protected] with your order number. Return the goods to us, unopened, in their original packaging and in a saleable condition within 14 days of telling us. You pay the cost of return postage unless the goods are faulty. We refund the price and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the goods back.
This right does not apply to products that have been opened or had their seal broken, to personalised or engraved items, or to gift cards once redeemed.
Faulty or incorrect goods. If a product is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or give you a full refund including delivery. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Cancelling before dispatch. Contact us as soon as possible; if we have not dispatched the order we will cancel it and refund you in full.
Membership is activated by registering the code supplied with a Club Members' Bottle. Membership benefits (tour vouchers, discounts, priority access) are as described on the Club page at the time of joining, are personal to the member and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. We may amend the benefits on reasonable notice. Discount codes are for the member's own purchases.
Shop gift cards are redeemable against products on the shop, cannot be exchanged for cash, and expire 12 months after purchase unless stated otherwise. Tour vouchers are redeemable against bookings at any of our three distilleries.
Each competition or promotion has its own terms, published with it. Where they conflict with these terms, the competition terms apply to that competition.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, but not for loss that is not foreseeable or that arises from your own breach. Our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We supply products for domestic and private use; we are not liable for business losses.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there. If you have a problem, contact us first and we will try to resolve it directly.
